Limited 14 day puppy warranty: To keep this warranty in affect you must have your
puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within twenty-four hours of the date of purchase (excluding weekends). During initial exam, should your veterinarian find the puppy
to be a poor health risk or detect any physical health problem that would have been present prior to the buyer taking possession
and requiring further veterinary care other than required vaccinations and/or wormings you must notify me within three (3)
calendar days.
In accordance with the above, I warranty your puppy
to be free of Parvo Virus, Distemper, Hepatitis, Corona Virus, and Canine Influenza for a full 14 days from date of purchase.
Should your veterinarian detect any of the above-mentioned diseases within fourteen days immediately following your purchase,
you must notify me within twenty-four hours.
Limited one year extended warranty: I warrant your puppy for one year from the date
of purchase against hereditary or congenital disorders that may interfere with your pet's ability to lead a normal life.
In the event your veterinarian certifies your animal to be unfit for purchase within the fourteen day period stated above
or within the one year period, you must supply me with your veterinarian’s written report within 7 days of diagnosis.
You will have the option to return the animal for a full purchase price refund or first pick from a follow-on litter. In either
case, you will be further due any and all reasonable cost directly related to diagnosis or treatment to relieve suffering.
-Latent defects:
Our warranty covers what is called Latent Defects. A latent defect is something that was present at time of purchase or in
duration of the warranty, but would not have otherwise shown up until later. An example would be undeveloped kidneys, leading
to kidney failure. Even if there was no failure until after the warranty period has expired, the problem existed when the
puppy was born. On latent defects, it has to be something like this that can be verified as being present at time of purchase,
or within the 1 year warranty period. Once a problem has been identified and immediate treatment as needed, you are required
to provide Kiyana’s Haus a copy of your vet/specialist reports to verify the condition and needed treatment, and we
cover all costs not to exceed original puppy purchase price associated with relief of pain and suffering. If the
defect is not a fatal one (such as blindness), you have the option to keep the dog with no purchase price refund or return
the dog. If the dog is fatal, you may keep the dog for its remaining days or immediately return it. If you choose to keep
the dog, all further expenses beyond 30 days after initial treatment are at your own liability. In either case of a fatal
or returned dog, your options (in addition to initial reimbursement) are as follows: 1) Receive a FULL purchase price refund,
or 2) pick of following litter of equal value (or you can pay the difference in value).
Enforcement of warranties: Timely veterinarian examinations and reports are conditions
to an effective warranty. This warranty is only enforceable between original seller and buyer. Buyer must keep puppy under
regular and continued care of a licensed veterinarian to be enforceable. Care includes regular vaccinations and wormings as
recommended by your veterinarian. A
completed copy of this document should be provided to me after the initial examination is complete.
Pursuant
to section 828.29, Florida Statutes,
An animal may not be determined unfit for sale on account of an injury sustained or illness contracted after
the consumer takes possession of the animal. A veterinary finding of intestinal or external parasites is not grounds for declaring
a dog or cat unfit for sale unless the animal is clinically ill because of that condition.
Addendum As Required by Florida
Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS)
It is the consumer's right, pursuant to section 828.29, Florida Statutes, to receive a certificate of veterinary
inspection with each dog or cat purchased from a pet dealer. Such certificate shall list all vaccines and deworming medications
administered to the animal and shall state that the animal has been examined by a Florida-licensed veterinarian who certifies
that, to the best of the veterinarian's knowledge, the animal was found to have been healthy at the time of the veterinary
examination. In the event that the consumer purchases the animal and finds it to have been unfit for purchase as provided
in section 828.29(5), Florida Statutes, the consumer must notify the pet dealer within 2 business days of the veterinarian's
determination that the animal was unfit. The consumer has the right to retain, return, or exchange the animal and receive
reimbursement for certain related veterinary services rendered to the animal, subject to the right of the dealer to have the
animal examined by another veterinarian.
